Since 1990, Lowell & Georgia Kenyan have had a vision to plant a new church where the love is genuine, the people are real, the message is clear and the presence & power of God is strong. Today that church is a reality. River Valley Church held its first service on Sunday April 4th, 1999... and people actually showed up!
Our motto is "loving God, lifting people." That summarizes River Valley Church. So our services and programs are filled with inspiring worship and practical insight from God's Word for more effective living. At River Valley Church, the Bible teaching is down-to-earth, the music is culture-current, the coffee is warm, and the smiles are genuine.
Lowell & Georgia are both North Louisiana natives who are glad to be back home having spent ten years in Texas and Oklahoma serving on staff at two dynamic churches - Faith Family Church in Victoria, Texas with pastor Jim Graff and Victory Christian Center in Tulsa, Oklahoma with pastor Billy Joe Daugherty.
Lowell is a graduate of Texas A&M University with a Bachelors in Psychology and has a Masters in Theology from Oral Roberts University. Georgia is a graduate of Louisiana State University and has a Masters in Counseling from Oral Roberts University. They are the boastful parents of four incredible children: Aura Lynn, Micah, Max & Anna Kathryn; they enjoy movies, popcorn and late night Cafe Lattes
