| Lowell On Values |
I read all the time. Lots of books on lots of different subjects. And like many in leadership roles, I read books on leadership. I have to confess: I pretty much thought all the mumbo-jumbo about vision statements, values, mission statements, slogans, mottos... all of it was a big waste of time. Let's just get on with the task at hand. There's a world to change out there! But then I found myself leading a growing organization which was, in turn, led by many fabulous leaders. We needed a game plan. We needed not just a common creed, but a common creedo. A shared set of values and images that formed the "target" we all have in mind for why we're working together doing what we do. On these pages you can discover what we currently hold as our "organizational operating system." This is the DNA of River Valley Church.Enjoy! Lowell |
