 "Turning everyday people into wholehearted followers of Christ.""Everyday People" When Jesus spoke to people, He spoke in terms that were familiar. He told stories about farming to farmers. He talked about fishing to fishermen. Everyday stuff. He took the most important message the world has ever heard and conveyed it everyday language. Jesus didn't come to reach some elite class of spiritual insiders who knew the "code." He came for everyday people, people like us! Our goal is to follow His lead by being a church for everyday people. In the end, that's the only kind of people there are anyway. "Wholehearted Followers of Christ" This is what we want to become. Not perfect people - that's not going to happen - but people who are wholeheartedly devoted to Christ and His agenda for our lives. This is not about "arriving" spiritually. It's about enjoying an ever-growing intimate relationship with a living Savior-Friend. |
