A Place to Make a Difference
Each month RVC’rs gather together for semi-organized projects designed to surprise or community with simple acts of kindness with no strings attached. Servant Evangelism (or as we call it, "Serve Fest") wins the hearts before it confronts the mind. A small act of kindness nudges the recipient closer to God bypassing the defensiveness that people may have about church, and going straight to the person to receive a touch of love from God. It’s simple, practical, effective, inexpensive, and fun!
Many of our projects are centered around holiday celebrations. During Mardi Gras, we pass out water or hot chocolate, depending on the weather! At Christmas, we love to wrap gifts for shoppers of deliver a hot box of donuts to those working on Christmas Eve. Other monthly projects can be as simple has handing out cold water on a hot day, picking up trash in a neighborhood park, offering free light bulbs, or cleaning toilets at a local restaurants. The Servant Evangelism Ministry is a great way to serve if you enjoy giving someone a reason to smile!
Keep watching for the Next Serve Fest event!
